Hello and welcome to Reception.

We are an experienced and passionate Early Years Team that enjoy seeing the children’s development flourish across the year. Our setting is a positive and stimulating learning environment where the children can build and extend their learning through play. We aim to spark a love of learning within the children.

The children are taught in whole class, small group and one-to-one sessions. During child-initiated play, children can choose from a wide range of activities that are both indoor and outdoor.

All children will take part in maths lessons and teacher guided tasks to develop their understanding and skills in number and numerical patterns. All children take part in daily phonics sessions and small group phonics activities. Our teaching of phonics supports children in the early stages of reading and writing and prepares them for Key Stage 1.
