Our Curriculum
At Longmeadow, we are continually working to develop our curriculum so that is robust, providing the necessary skills and knowledge for our children to be successful, and engaging to boost their confidence, self-esteem and desire to learn.
While much of our curriculum is based on researched and planned schemes that provide opportunities for the sequential building of knowledge and vocabulary, we recognise that we, as a school, are unique and so adapt these lessons to engage our children and meet their learning needs.
Teachers establish links to prior learning, revisit key concepts that have been taught and build upon what the children know to ensure ‘sticky knowledge’.
